Dear Sir,
After retiring as a career archaeologist I've devoted my time to writing and publishing books on different regions and cultural heritage of Pakistan in English language. Under my pen name - Ihsan H. Nadiem - some 15 books have already been published - all except two published by the prestigious Pakistani publishing house, Sang-e-Meel Publications, Lahore. I may not emphasise on the point that these books have wide circulation internationally.
I'm now writing on a part of the Seraiki Region -Cholistan, Bahawalpur, Uch Sharif, Rahim Yar Khan, Dera Nawab etc.
I've already collected and studied quite a bit of relevant literature but might need additional information as to the particular 'melas', cultural life, daily house-hold and life of its wasaib, dress (of men and women), modes of transport, people's vocations etc.
As my books are profusely illustrated I also need a large number of good representative pictures (or hi-resolution digital images).
Will it be too much to expect information on as to how I can get such material, and from where? Or is it possible for you to help me in acquiring such information and/or requisite illustrative material?
I'm also planning to visit these areas and if you could advise me as to how I can accomplish it within the means of a retired person. (The projects I undertake from my own pocket and, as such, are without any sponsor).
Thank you and hoping to hear from you soon.
Yours sincerely,
Ihsan
P.S. If desired by you I could send info on my publications and/or my CV.
