Dear All,
I migrated to India in 1947 during partition. We all lived in Retri village near Nava Janda Wala distt. Bhakkar.
Does anybody have any information about the existance of this village ?
We still speak Seraiki language in our homes.

Thanks
Madan Lal Makkar

Dear Madan Lal,
One can never forget his homeland.Your Retri is still intact. It is only 40 km. north of my village.Islamabad-Karachi direct highway passes a few km. west of it,and it is linked by a metalled road at Fazil with the main highway.Pathan families originally live here. The village is electrfied and isalso linked by road with Jandanwala and Dullewala.Dullewala is in south 17km.There is a boys high school. The area is partially irrigated by canal water.Sand dunes are still there. How old were you when as a resultof the accident of partition, you had to leave your home. There are few Mohajir families who were settled here on your property.
Regards,
Anmin
