Provincial govt. of MMA plans to shift PWD office to Peshawar. It must be kept in mind that MMA is causing a great damage to d i khan it has already moved several govt. offices to bannu lyk NADRA's zonal office, Habib bank reigonal office, passport office, PAF recruitment & selection center, this fact clearly signifies that how a seraiki speaking community is suffering at hands of Pakhtoons who fully dominate provincial govt. and hold a major portion of key civil posts.

The situation is really appalling. The wrong policies of Govt. of pakistan let the afghans and savage tribes of tribal belt plunder and loot this fair land of seraiki wasaib.

Biased Controller Examination BISE D.I.Khan has put the future and career of thousands of students at stake.

He has broken all records of corruption, due to his favouritism and prejudice against locals several brilliant students have failed while several aliens ve passsed who cant even read or write.

Hi,

It is not the first time when Seraiki students in NWFP are facing such kind of situation . It is a very old tradition of Pukhtoon dominated Educational Boards to jeopardize future of non Pukhtoon students of Dera Ismail Khan.

It is not only educational boards which behave in such manner , if you are non Pukhtoon and you go to any government office , your are treated as unwanted guest and You can observe the hostile attitude of the people in that office very easily.

As a matter of fact seraikis have no future in NWFP . Pukhtoons will be very happy if Seraikis of Dera Ismail Khan leave Dera and migrate to Wasaib.

Derawal must come to close each other and evolve some strategy about their future.

MMA government is proposing new name, i.e Afghania for NWFP . This move on part ofMMA comes at the time when two Pathan Nationalist parties have entered into alliance and have demanded merger of NWFP, 11 districts of Baluchistan and inclusion of Mianwali anf Attock into and new province named Pukhtoonkha, the official language of this province would be pushtoo.

This alliance of Pukhtoon parties will create a large dent in vote bank of JUI (F) which is dominate mostly in Pukhtoon dominated areas . In order to safe gaurd its vote bank MMA has proposed a new name for the province .

Provincial Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Malik Zafar Azam said the NWFP government could change the name of the province, but it might open up a Pandora’s box and the MMA did not want to open new fronts. The provicial government has formally requested the federal government to rename the province as Afghania, meaning an abode of Afghans.

However according to the Constitution, he said, the NWFP was a province and only the National Assembly could amend the Constitution . It is obvious that Federal government may not agree to reenaming of the province . This move of Federal government will provide JUI (F) with an issue for next coming elections. The JUI (F) government in NWFP has pathetically failed and masses of the province have witnessed a decline in living standards, both poverty and unemployment have increased and there was no remarkable improvement in infrastructure and situation of law and order is in front of every one.

We should also keepo in mind that in forth coming election we may see alliance of ANP and JUI (F) , because JUI(F) position has weakened to great extent and power hungary Fazl ur Rehman would do any thing to stay in power.

Pashtun & Mullah’s Alliance against Saraiki majority of Daman Area

A mega project for Daman area; Chashma Right Bank Canal (CRBC Project) was announced by Z.A Bhutto in 70’s.

To protect the local community; an ordinance was issued by the government ( THE NORTH WEST FRONTIER PROVINCE CHASMA RIGHT BANK CANAL PROJECT CONTROL AND PREVENTION OF SPECULATION IN LAND ORDINANCE 1971, N.W.F.P ORDINANCE NOV. OF 1971.

As per law there was a ban on transfer or sale of land in all of project’s command area to the non locals and project was announced with water capacity of 7762 kiusiks

In general elections in March 1977 nine opposition parties united in the Pakistan National Alliance (PNA) to run against Bhutto's PPP. Losing in three of the four provinces, the PNA alleged that Bhutto had rigged the vote. It boycotted the provincial elections a few days later and organized demonstrations throughout the country that lasted for six weeks.

During these demonstrations in Dera Ismail Khan City they demanded more water for CRBC 10762 kusiks instead of 7762 kusiks of and promised to the people in their speeches that if they will come into power they will change the design of the project.

When the situation seemed to be deadlocked, the army Chief of Staff, General Muhammad Zia Ul-Haq, staged a coup on July 5, 1977, and imposed another military regime.

Zia Government amended the law with the help and support of JUI and ANP (the pastun dominant political parties of the province) and took the ban on land transfer in the commond area of CRBC which was protecting the local Saraiki majority.

Sardar Inyatullah Khan Gandapur resisted the law and saved his Tehsil Kulachi from non locals and it is still out of the influence of non locals.

General Zia government changed the project design and reduced the water capacity to 2500 kusiks, Mulana Mufti Mehmood attended the ground braking ceremony with Genral Zia and died after some days.

His son Mulana Fazal took his party’s responsibilities and continued his policies to bring the pashtuns in the area, despite getting votes from local Sariki (sunni & Shia and even from PP ) he developed his base with pashtun and is more loyal with his own pashtun community.

But still some of our people trusting him due to his so called religious title and face and thinks shia’s are more harmful then Tribal’s.

All the roads of D I Khan lay in ruins for past six months, the roads haven't been completed still after such a long time. Local traders and shopkeepers have planned a protest on sunday for the problems they have been facing due to delay in completion of project.

Few of the streets have been completed but the quality of work and material is substandard and it seems these newly built roads will not last a year or two.

Corruptions is at peak during Fazloo's term.
