Hi everyone,

If someone else noticed that too, Seraiki visitors from Australia & NZ make up the second largest group on this website (based on Home page Geography poll).

May be we can have a Seraiki get-together somewhere in Sydney or Melbourne during the Christmas holidays?

Any ideas?

Hi,

I appreciate Kamrans suggestion regarding get togather of Siraikies, and my personal opinion is it should be arranged in the city where we have more siraikies.

We will have to do home work on it to check whether we will have some siraikies willing to participate in this get togather.

Here in Canberra I know few siraikies , I can talk to them in this regard.

Christmas holidays is the best time for any such gathering because most of the people wont be working.

Regards

Miana Sb,

Don't worry, we will come to Canberra or anywhere you suggest.

I don't know about Sister Sonia but my business shuts down completely after 15 Dec so I can travel to anywhere in Australia as long as it's not Perth or Darwin.

Any Seraikies living in Sydney suburbs are more than welcome for a weekend gup shup at my humble abode in Sydney.

And please lets not speak Urdu here, we get to speak some Urdu/Hindi with Indian community but rarely get to speak Seraiki in Australia.

Thanks for replying,
Kamran

Hi,

My assertion , that we should gather at place where we have more siraikies, doesnt, in any way implies that we have lot of siraikies here in Canberra. I have come across very few here, I talked to one yesterday and he didnt show any interest. It doesnt mean we should stop thinking about get togather (we siraikies indeed, are very shy speice.)

Before arranging any event I would suggest to contact as many as siraikies possible . If not Christmas holidays the other possible day could be 26th of January .

Canberra is very peaceful and beautiful place, all friends are invited to be my guest , any time.

Regards

I assume that most Seraikis should be in Sydney city as it's the largest in the country as for as the population goes.

Interestingly, I have come across only 2 Seraiki speaking people in Australia so far and both were Seraikis from Indian origion. Seems like Seraiki community in India is much better off than Pakistani Seraikis.

Thanks,
Kamran
